Sightseeing in the City

This temple stands out among them all as it is the only White Temple in Thailand. The colour is said to have been selected by the creator to symbolise the purity of the Buddha. Open from 8 am to 5 pm daily, its best to visit in the morning hours to experience the sheer splendour of the structure glowing like a gem in the sunlight!

The structure of the blue temple is similar to that of the White Temple. Instead of white, this grand temple is adorned in full blue and baroque golden patterns. Inside, the serene white statues of Buddha are definitely the highlight. The temple is open from 7 am to 8 pm. Don’t forget to explore the ruins of an ancient temple within the same premises.

Located towards the north of Chiang Rai, the Choui Fong Tea Plantation is a wonderful place to visit for a taste of local tea. It's not just about the taste but the whole experience that comes with it that’s so amazing. The plantation is open for viewing every day from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Amid the dark green of the trees and the black rocks, gushes milky white water that has an almost divine look to it! For nature lovers, there are a number of waterfalls to visit on the outskirts of Chiang Rai. The natural scene of the city makes it even more alluring to adventure seekers.
